Hellraiser: Revival Editions: Deluxe vs Collector's
Saber sells two digital editions everywhere; the three collector’s boxes come from a different company, Boss Team Games, and that difference matters when something goes wrong with an order.
All five editions side by side
| Edition | Price | Game | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $39.99 | Base game | Pre-order bonus if bought before launch |
| Deluxe | $49.99 | Base game | The Nailer, Cenobite shotgun skin, Punisher bat skin, Leviathan charm, ’80s horror filter, digital art book, soundtrack, Bleeding Hearts novella |
| Genesis Collector’s | about $130 at pre-order | Deluxe | LED replica puzzle box, trading card pack |
| Cenobite Collector’s | about $200 at pre-order | Deluxe | Replica box, Pillar of Souls statue of the four Cenobites with numbered certificate, four enamel pins, hardcover art book, cards, poster, art print |
| Leviathan Collector’s | about $250 at pre-order | Deluxe | Everything in the Cenobite box plus a SteelBook and a Pinhead art print hand-signed by Clive Barker |
Digital prices are from the Steam store (also the Xbox listing). Collector’s prices are the pre-order prices quoted by buyer’s guides on YouTube; Boss Team Games sets and changes them, so check its store before you trust a number. Every collector’s box contains a copy of the Deluxe Edition.
Pre-order bonus (any edition)
Pre-order any edition before October 8 and you get two cosmetic skins:
- “Labyrinth” pistol skin
- “Martyr” sawblade skin
They are skins only; they do not change damage.
Is the Deluxe Edition worth $10 more?
The only thing in the Deluxe Edition that changes how you play is the Nailer, an extra melee weapon. Everything else is cosmetic or extra media:
- Cenobite shotgun skin, Punisher baseball bat skin, Leviathan weapon charm
- ’80s horror movie filter: a visual mode that makes the game look like a 1987 VHS horror film
- Digital art book, digital soundtrack, and the digital novella Bleeding Hearts
Melee weapons break in this game, so one more melee option is a small but real advantage early on. If you only care about the story, the standard edition is the same game. If you want the novella or the filter, $10 is a fair price.
The collector’s boxes: pick your puzzle box
All three collector’s editions include a light-up replica puzzle box, and buyer’s guides note you can choose either the game’s new Genesis Configuration or the classic Lament Configuration while stock lasts. Beyond that:
- Genesis is the entry box: the replica, a trading card pack and the Deluxe game.
- Cenobite adds the Pillar of Souls polystone statue with all four Cenobites from the game (the box sits on top), a numbered certificate, four enamel Cenobite pins, a hardcover Art of Hellraiser: Revival, a poster, an art print of Pinhead, and an oversized Lament-shaped collector’s box.
- Leviathan is everything above plus a Hellraiser: Revival SteelBook and the Pinhead art print signed by Clive Barker. That signature is the reason most collectors go for it.
Order problems: contact Boss Team Games, not Saber
Saber posted this on the Steam forum on September 29: the collector’s editions “are sold and fulfilled by Boss Team Games”, and Saber cannot answer questions about them, including shipping. Questions about a collector’s order, including when you are charged and when it ships, go to support@bossteamgames.com. Your order confirmation email from Boss Team Games is the only reliable answer on charge dates; we have not seen a published policy.
Physical copies
Searches for a physical copy are common. The collector’s boxes contain the Deluxe Edition, but Saber’s own announcements only cover the digital editions and the Boss Team boxes. For a standalone physical standard copy, check your local retailer’s listing for your console.
