Steam Deck
Valve has not rated the game for Steam Deck yet. Demo players report it is playable on Deck with "one or two moments" of strain, and one reviewer on a Steam Machine at high settings saw no drops below 60 FPS.
What the demo tells us about performance
The free Steam demo is the best benchmark you have before launch: download it and you test the same Unreal Engine 5 build family on your own hardware. From the 100 most helpful English demo reviews and Saber's patch notes:
- Runs better than expected. Many reviews call it well optimised, including on entry-level PCs.
- No FOV slider in the demo. Ultrawide players say the view feels zoomed in and causes motion sickness; it is the most requested setting.
- Grey blacks on OLED. A widely upvoted review asks for fixed black levels; turn brightness down if shadows look washed out.
- Head bob and toggle-run. Players asked for a head bob toggle and for toggle-run to stop when you stop moving.
- Fixed in the September 21 demo patch: wrong resolution on multi-monitor setups, the executable being flagged as unsigned, softlocks and frozen input.
Storage
Both spec tiers ask for 80 GB and recommend an SSD. That is the final game; the demo is much smaller. If you plan to pre-load, clear the space before launch day.
