Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival FAQ

All Questions

When does Hellraiser: Revival come out?

October 8, 2026 on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. Console store trackers point to 12:00 UTC (5 AM Pacific); Saber has not posted an hour for Steam. See the launch time page for your time zone.

How much does Hellraiser: Revival cost?

$39.99 for the standard edition and $49.99 for the Deluxe Edition on Steam. The three physical Collector's Editions are sold by Boss Team Games, not Saber.

Is Hellraiser: Revival multiplayer or co-op?

No. It is a single-player story game with no co-op, online or asymmetric mode. The Pinhead you may have played in Dead by Daylight was a separate licensed chapter, removed in April 2025.

Is there a Hellraiser: Revival demo?

Yes, a free demo has been on Steam since September 17, 2026. It takes about an hour and has 1,229 English reviews at 92% positive. Console demo availability has not been confirmed by Saber.

How long is Hellraiser: Revival?

Around 8 to 12 hours for the campaign, according to the developers' estimate repeated in preview coverage. Treat it as a pre-launch estimate until players time the full game.

Who voices Pinhead in Hellraiser: Revival?

Doug Bradley, who played Pinhead in the first eight Hellraiser films. Aidan Lynch, the player character, is voiced by Xalavier Nelson Jr.

Do I need to watch the Hellraiser movies first?

No. It is a new story set about 20 years after the first two films. The developers drew on Hellraiser (1987), Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) and the novella The Hellbound Heart, so those three are the useful homework.

Is Hellraiser: Revival censored?

Saber says no: the ESRB Mature 17+ rating was granted without cuts and the Switch 2 version matches the other platforms. Germany is the exception in practice: the game was pulled from the German Steam store because it has no USK age rating there.

Can you kill the Cenobites?

No. The developers say you will never defeat Pinhead, Chatterer, Butterball or the Female Cenobite; you escape, hide or work out the rules of each encounter. Cultists and the Unworthy are the enemies you fight.
